Well, as I mentioned a few posts ago – I’ve gotten the green light on an IT contract. It will pay pretty good and should be a challenging opportunity. It’s kinda nice to find out that someone is willing to hire someone on the basis of hands-on experience and they’re not just looking at post-secondary transcripts.

I guess it helps that I’ve been willing to take a few chances and dip my toes outside of my ‘comfort zone’ a little bit. People seem to like it when you meet them half-way, go figure.

There’s still been no word on the exact start date for the work, but I know that I have two weeks (well, a little less now) left of having my own free time. For most people this would probably be looked upon as a blessing. Two weeks to do whatever I want. Ahhhhhh.

Me, I get into a bit of a mental wrangling over how best to use these two weeks and then end up getting frustrated. It’s happened in the past, and it threatens to happen again. I think I just need to relax a little and enjoy this wonderful Spring weather we’ve been having.
